Barcelona striker Pedro is just one goal away from becoming the first Barcelona player to score in six different competitions in one season following his two goal haul in the Copa del Rey win over Cultural Leonesa on Wednesday. Should the young striker manage to get on the score sheet in any of Barcelona's FIFA World Club Championship ties in Abu Dhabi in December he will become the first player to have scored in six tournaments in one season, having already scored in the Primera Liga, UEFA Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Copa del Rey. According to Sport, Pedro equaled a record held by Giovanni Silva going back to 1997/98 when the Brazilian scored in 18 goals across the same five competitions.Hristo Stoitchkov, Txiki Begristain and Julio Salinas managed to score in four tournaments in 1992, when Barca won the European Cup for the first time and since then Deco and Eidure Gudjohnsen equaled the statistic of having scored in four separate competitions. So far this season, only Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lionel Messi have scored more goals than Pedro for the Blaugrana.
